Questions?
So, whats your deal here?
We are a casual restaurant located in downtown Riverside. Some may call us a gastropub, others a steakhouse, maybe even a brasserie. However, we have but one goal: to serve what we feel is the best local and sustainable food, unique craft beers, boutique wines and high-end spirits possible. We wanted to create a place where everyone would love to hang out, that didn’t close early or require reservations a month in advance.
What kind of food does The Salted Pig serve?
We serve New American fare with a world influence. Our dishes stem from classic pub fare, but with a modern twist.
Are there vegetarian dishes?
Don’t let our name fool you! We are very accommodating to our veggie eating pals. Our menu has 7 vegetarian appetizers, 4 vegetarian small plates and entrees, and we will always offer vegetarian chalkboard specials. In addition, most dishes can be altered to have the meat removed. Still don’t see what you like? Just ask the chef!
What time does the kitchen close?
Last call for food at the earliest is 10:00pm every night. However, on the weekend we could keep it open even later. Feel free to give us a call and we could give you an estimate of what time the kitchen will be closing that night.
Do you have gift certificates or Pig merchandise?
Certainly!
Who owns The Salted Pig?
Ronaldo Fierro and his wife Sheena. Ronaldo is the nerdy guy in glasses and comic book shirts
Who are the chefs?
Our exec chef Larry Thai and sous chef Dustin O’leary rule the kitchen world.
Who is your general manager?
Elise Alexandria, our pocket sized head hauncho. Along with Carlos Huizar, our bar boss.
Where can customers park?
Parking is metered in Downtown Riverside during the week till 6pm. Parking is free on the weekends. There is street parking, as well as several lots.
What is the wait time?
It varies from day to day. Lunches have a rush usually between noon and 2pm. For evenings, dinner time can be quite busy- especially on Fridays and Saturdays. You can always call that evening and speak with our host, who will let you know how busy we are. If you are in the neighborhood, you can stop by and give your name and a number to the host, who will call you when a table becomes available. We encourage people to dine at the bar or kitchen bar where the full menu is available. Larger parties may experience more of a wait. But, we feel the food is well worth the wait.
Do you have a dress code?
we love everyone.
How many seats do you have?
Upstairs we have 80 seats and downstairs we have 80+ seats.
Who designed the interior?
Our owners, our staff and a few helpers.
What about large parties?
We always appreciate a phone call for any party larger than 8, however we still do not take reservations. Interested in hosting an event? We have full catering packages ready for any style and any budget. Feel free to contact Elise@Saltedpigriverside.com for more info.
